Only 3 more days until the release of \u00a0Guardians of the Galaxy. \u00a0As promised, I am doing pots that are somehow related to the Guardians franchise. \u00a0Today I take a closer look at Rocket Raccoon issue #1. \u00a0Yes, I am aware that the book has been out for a couple of weeks. \u00a0That is why I am titling this post, In case you missed it. \u00a0See what I did there, lol.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anyway, \u00a0when I heard that Marvel gave Skottie Young the helm of the new Rocket Raccoon series, I was very amused. \u00a0I love Skottie’s art and I felt that it would be a good feel for that character. \u00a0And boy, was I right. \u00a0Let’s get right to the story.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rocket Raccoon #1, starts with Rocket on a “date” at a galactic wrestling match that his best pal, Groot, happens to be wrestling in. \u00a0His date is not that impressed, but for some strange reason she chooses to stay. \u00a0Well, during this match, they are captured by the Kiss Cam and it is at this moment all hell breaks loose. \u00a0The camera realizes it is Rocket and sets off a security protocol. \u00a0It turns out that Rocket is wanted for murder. \u00a0The strange thing is, these particular murders he knows he did not commit. \u00a0These occurrences bring up more questions than answers. \u00a0Rocket and his fellow Guardians know it is impossible to be at two places at once so that must mean there is another, but how? Since when? \u00a0Hopefully these questions will be answered in issue #2.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Of course, I could tell you more details of what went down in this issue but I do not want to spoil anything for you. \u00a0Skottie Young has a ht on his hand and I am anxious to see where this series goes. \u00a0I give Rocket Raccoon a strong 8 out of 10 rating. \u00a0Until next time, get your READ on! \u00a0I close with one of my favorite images from issue #1, Groot the Wrestler. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
