\"kidrobot-logo\"<\/a>Greetings toy lovers of all ages, how the hell have you been? \u00a0I have been busy building collections of my own, but I managed to snag an interview with one of the coolest toy companies around. \u00a0Who is this company you ask? \u00a0Well, it is none other than kidrobot. \u00a0For you Loot Caters or other mystery box subscribers, I know for a fact you have some kidrobot merchandise. \u00a0I love their vinyl figures, especially their TMNT line. \u00a0But enough about why I like the company, let us proceed with the interview.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SWN: Who are you and what is your position at Kid Robot? <\/strong><\/p>\n

KR: Steven Elmes, Director of Marketing<\/strong><\/p>\n

SWN: Did you always know that you wanted to work with toys? <\/strong><\/p>\n

KR: Well I\u2019ve worked with lots of different things, but art has generally been a theme in my life in one way or another. I consider myself very fortunate that my collective life decisions lead my to kidrobot\u2019s front door at a time they were willing to open it for me.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SWN: I was first introduced to a Kid Robot toy via Loot Crate. How many times have you worked with Loot Crate? <\/strong><\/p>\n

KR: It\u2019s a newer relationship for us, but we love working with them and I have no doubt we are just in the beginning of things.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SWN: My favorite toy that Kid Robot has produced is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle line. Do you have a favorite? <\/strong><\/p>\n

KR: Huck Gee\u2019s 8\u201d Dunny titled Don\u2019yoku, which dropped in 2005, is still my favorite.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SWN: Where can we get Kid Robot products? <\/strong><\/p>\n

KR: Kidrobot toys are available via a network of independent retailers, larger chains like Barnes and Nobles, Hastings, as well as our website and our two retail locations; Kidrobot San Francisco and Kidrobot Las Vegas<\/strong><\/p>\n

SWN: Do you have anything you wish to promote right now? <\/strong><\/p>\n

KR: We have an incredible selection of both inline and licensed products (to meet the needs of our diverse fan base) coming out throughout the entire year. Things will especially heat up around July, so check out social feeds often for updates and launch dates.<\/strong><\/p>\n

SWN: What does the future hold for Kid Robot? <\/strong><\/p>\n

KR: The future is Awesome<\/strong><\/p>\n

SWN: If you could pick any character and\/or show for Kid Robot to design, what would it be and why? <\/strong><\/p>\n

KR: Me personally, I\u2019d love to see us commemorate Spock in the form of an 8\u201d Munny (with Vulcan ears of course). He is, was and will always be one of the most influential and relatable characters to ever come out of a TV and movie franchise. Life lessons a plenty.<\/strong><\/p>\n
