After how much I enjoyed “Prom Night II” I was looking forward to this, was……<\/h3>\n

From the off it’s abundantly clear that this film is aiming more for the comedy aspect and that runs through the entire film, now I’m not against the film-makers taking this direction but it just doesn’t work for me at all which is a shame.<\/h3>\n

If this was a stand alone film then maybe I would have enjoyed it more but after “Prom Night II” I was hoping to have the ‘Mary Lou’ story continue down a different path, it had the possibility to be something else, something that could’ve started a whole new series.<\/h3>\n

The film comes off as cheap and whilst in some cases that can be a good thing in this film it just seems tacky, although I will say that the death scenes are the saving grace. They’re funny and gory, those of you who’ve watched it will no doubt remember the ‘missile football’ and ‘human banana split’.<\/h3>\n

The character of ‘Mary Lou’ is changed in this feature,gone is the dark and sinister character we loved and in her place is a lovesick girl who uses her looks and sexual prowess to get what she wants. It managed to kill the character in one film, well done!<\/h3>\n

“Prom Night III – The Last Kiss” is a background film, I don’t recommend it myself but I know it has it’s fans.<\/h3>\n
