The last film was promoted as “The Last Chapter in the Omen Trilogy”,\u00a0a decade later here we are with a new film in the “Omen” series, the studios mustn’t have had faith in the project as this ended up as a TV movie, although it did get a theatrical release in the UK.<\/h3>\n

In this release, which is a sort of reboot in the series, we see the role of ‘Damien’ taken over by ‘Delia’. It’s no surprise to see the story shift gender roles, it’s something we’ve seen so many times before\u00a0and it just seriously bores me. You can just imagine the meetings “Let’s switch up the gender of the role, that’s original and fans will love it!”.<\/h3>\n

\"Ave-Satani-becomes-Ave-Crappy\"<\/p>\n

Boring is the word of the day with this film, from beginning to end it’s just, it’s seriously that bad. I can’t see how this film ever got the green light, maybe it was a financial situation but the trilogy finished a decade before this and even though it ended on a whimper at least it ended with some dignity.<\/h3>\n

Director Dominique Othenin-Girard must have seen what a bomb this was turning out to be as he ended up quitting halfway through the production and was eventually replaced by Jorge Montesi. In hindsight it was a smart move from Girard as he can wash his hands clean of it all.<\/h3>\n

Don’t waste your time on “Omen IV – The Awakening”, seriously just avoid it.<\/h3>\n

The film wasn’t available in Indonesia until 2006, where Fox re-released all the films in The Omen series to the DVD and VCD format.<\/h3>\n

In the final shot, the cemetery paths form an upside-down cross.<\/h3>\n
