On his one thousandth birthday, an evil leprechaun selects the descendant of one of his slaves to have as his bride, leaving it up to the girl’s boyfriend to save her.<\/h3>\n

With the success of the first film a sequel was quickly put into production.<\/h3>\n

\nThink what you will but I was excited for this release, I enjoyed the first instalment so much that I was happy to be getting more from it. I was especially happy to see Warwick Davis return to the role as I thought he truly brought\u00a0the character to life and I couldn’t imagine anyone else in that role.<\/h3>\n

With this sequel the humour aspect was ramped up, I had no problem with this as it’s not exactly a shocker. The character of the Leprechaun was ripe for this and with one liners such as\u00a0“Drink all you want… drink all you can… you can’t beat me… ’cause I’m a lepre-can! Mmmph! Chaun!” what’s not to love.<\/h3>\n

\nThe cast isn’t too bad, admittedly not as good as the first film but good enough that it’s not a distraction despite a few shaky moments. It’s definitely a great sequel and that’s not always the case as we fully well know.\u00a0I know some fans who prefer this to the first instalment.<\/h3>\n

Rodman Flender took over Director duties and did a great job of taking over the reigns, watching this you wonder why he never did a full feature for 5 years after, when he did the great “Idle Hands”, he definitely had the talent to do more.<\/h3>\n

“Leprechaun 2” is a fun and highly entertaining sequel, grab some beers and friends and have some fun.<\/h3>\n

The guard dog Andretti, is a reference to race car driver Mario Andretti.<\/h3>\n

Cody advises Clint Howard’s character to get some ice cream if he’s too scared. In 1995, one year after this movie, Howard starred in Ice Cream Man.<\/h3>\n
