When Emily Woodrow and her friends happen on a treasure chest full of gold coins, they fail to to heed the warnings of a wise old psychic who had foretold that they would encounter trouble with a very nasty and protective Leprechaun.<\/h3>\n

\nApparently “Leprechaun In The Hood” director Rob Spera was involved with this project in its early stages, and came up with two proposed storylines; one set in Venice Beach, and another set on an island during spring break.<\/h3>\n

However, the studio’s thought that there was a positive reaction to the previous film, which resulted in the producers insisting that the film be again set in an inner city\u00a0but without\u00a0wanting to rehash the previous film, even though that’s exactly what happened.<\/h3>\n

\nThe Spring Break concept sounds so much more fun and a ripe setting \u00a0for our title character and his one liners and sleazy ways, what a wasted chance. We also see him in a\u00a0new outfit to try and give him a more demonic look, it\u00a0worked in that sense at least.<\/h3>\n

To date this would be the last entry in the “Leprechaun” series to feature Warwick Davis as the ‘Leprechaun’ character, as much fun as the first four film were he just didn’t seem to have the same enthusiasm towards the end and I don’t blame him.<\/h3>\n

This film effectively killed off the series and was another piece of sloppy writing that just became unwatchable.<\/h3>\n

Miscellaneous facts about the film:<\/h3>\n

This is the only movie where we see The Leprechaun’s bare feet.<\/h3>\n

This is the sixth movie in the Leprechaun series, although the number “6” doesn’t appear anywhere in the title or credits. Actually, in the opening credits, after it says Leprechaun on the book, it opens and it says Chapter 6<\/h3>\n

Several of the Leprechaun’s lines in this movie reflect earlier Leprechaun films. The “Damn clovers” line and the “eye for an eye, me dear” were used in the original.<\/h3>\n

Wilhelm Scream during opening animation and monologue, when the leprechauns surround and pounce on the knight.<\/h3>\n
