I’m a huge wrestling fan, but admittedly WWE Films doesn’t exactly have a great reputation.<\/h3>\n

\nI remember when this film was announced, you could hear a collective groan from around the world as fans read the news that not only was the franchise was being rebooted but it would also be done without it’s main star, Warwick Davis.<\/h3>\n

Warwick has stated\u00a0that\u00a0he has no clue as to why they didn’t ask him to play the part one again, because he would’ve loved to do it. Well there was a missed opportunity that may have been able to salvage something out of this and appeased the fans as well.<\/h3>\n

\nIn all honesty he was better off away from this mess, the writing was sloppy and filled with giant plot holes and the characters were just so dull that you just hoped that they would be killed off at any second. This made for bad viewing.<\/h3>\n

I’m not too familiar with Director\u00a0Zach Lipovsky’s work but I’m sure he’s not too happy with this on his record, although as he is a Visual Effects Artist as well that work shone through. You’ve got to take the small positives when you can.<\/h3>\n

\n“Leprechaun Origins” just reeks of a cash in, unfortunately there was just no heart in it.<\/h3>\n

Miscellaneous facts about the film:<\/h3>\n

Dylan Postl stated that he had never seen any of the previous Leprechaun (1993) films, and he has since chosen not to view any, as he wanted his performance to be his own creation, without the influence of the prior films.<\/h3>\n

The line “Fuck you, Lucky Charms” that is said by Sophie before she kills the Leprechaun is the same line that was said by Alex in the original Leprechaun (1993).<\/h3>\n
