3 years after “From Dusk Till Dawn” a sequel was released.<\/h3>\n

\nI got really excited when I heard about Bruce Campbell being in this film and if I’m honest it was like 50% of the reason I watched it, SPOILER ALERT!<\/span> – Unfortunately he dies like five\u00a0minutes into the film, this put a real downer on it for me. I don’t understand how you can have such talent in your film and just off them in the intro, but enough of me moaning.<\/h3>\n

One thing I’ve always found strange is that the first film in the series was a massive hit with with fans of the genre and even drew in non Horror fans as well as word of mouth went around. Despite this just three\u00a0years later a straight to video film was made. I don’t understand why the studio made this decision and try and repeat the success of the predecessor.<\/h3>\n

\nUnfortunately for fans the studio\u00a0behind this feature don’t seem very interested and that shows on screen.\u00a0The film seemed to lack the character the first feature had and despite some great acting from the likes of Robert Patrick\u00a0(who I’ve always been a fan of)\u00a0and others such as\u00a0Raymond Cruz, it just wasn’t enough to save the film and ultimately and unfortunately it disappointed.<\/h3>\n

Don’t get me wrong the film has it’s moments and there’s worst films and sequels out there, it’s just that the first feature ha left everyone with high expectations. Director and writer Scott Spiegel did well despite his roadblocks but there is a sense of a missed opportunity here, If it had had proper backing it could’ve been a whole different story here.<\/h3>\n

\n“From Dusk Till Dawn 2 – Texas Blood Money” is an okay sequel, just don’t get your expectations up like a lot of us did.<\/h3>\n

Miscellaneous facts about the film:<\/h3>\n

When Buck, played by Robert Patrick, recruits C.W. at the rodeo, he is seen wearing a shirt of the band Filter. Richard Patrick, the frontman of the band, is the brother of Robert Patrick.<\/h3>\n

James Parks, who plays Deputy McGraw, is the actual son of actor Michael Parks, who played Ranger Mcgraw, the character’s father, in the original From Dusk Till Dawn (1996).<\/h3>\n

In an unusual move, the subtitles for this movie have all swears removed, both on the DVD and in VOD. In some cases, sentences just have the swear removed, making the sentence “clean,” while in other instances, the swear is replaced with “….” In the subtitles.<\/h3>\n

Robert Patrick later played the role of Fuller, Harvey Kietel’s character from the first film, in the TV reboot.<\/h3>\n

According to the director, the Titty Twister was supposed to be seen a lot more than it actually is but the budget did not allow it.<\/h3>\n

At the end of the movie, Buck gets into a car and runs over a skeleton, crushing it. This is a reference to Terminator 2: Judgement Day, also starring Robert Patrick, where a Terminator endoskeleton crushes a skull at the beginning of the movie.<\/h3>\n

Bob Murawski: The movie’s editor also plays Victor, the vampire who is shot by Luther at the side of the road.<\/h3>\n
