You can see what they tried to do, with bringing Michael into modern society with all its technology. With a group of college students lurking around his house with cameras, investigating the infamous home for an internet reality show.

The highest point of the film (Apart from the beginning) is when we discover Michaels lair, the place he’s been lurking around, biding his time. But this film had a seriously awful casting choice! Busta Rhymes is such a bad actor it makes me cringe, same with Tyra Banks. Also out of all 6 college kids there only seem to be a couple with proper acting skills.

This was supposed to be the film that launched Michael into scaring a whole new generation, It didn’t and it fell flat on it’s face. easily one of the worst films of the franchise.

It was sad to see a franchise with such great promise fall so flat towards the end, sort of like a TV series that went on one too many seasons.

The only reason I’d suggest you watch this film is to see the conclusion of the story of Laurie & Michael, after that you can just switch it off.

Miscellaneous facts about the film:

Was first named “Halloween: The Homecoming” but producers wanted a title that said Michael Myers is alive so in February 2002, the film was officially named “Halloween: Resurrection.”

Was originally set for a release date of September 21st 2001, but producers at Dimension Films wanted the film to be stronger so re-shoots took place from September to October 2001.

Director Rick Rosenthal previously directed Halloween ll – 21 years earlier.

Katee Sackhoff originally was supposed to portray Donna Chang

The name Jen Danzig is a reference to Glenn Danzig, the singer of the former Misfits leader whom wrote and sung the songs Halloween and Halloween II before the original movie was released.
