What time is it?  No, it’s not adventure time, but it is time for another interview with a beautiful and talented cosplayer.  Today, my NERDs, you are in for a treat.  I have an interview with the one and only SunsetDragon for your reading pleasure.  She is a very talented cosplayer as well as an outstanding artist.  Please make sure to check out her page and give her a like when you are finished reading this interview. So, enough rambling from me, let’s get this show on the road.

1. Who are you and where are you from?
I’m known as SunsetDragon and I’m from the United States, East Coast.
2. How did you discover cosplay?
A friend of mine in high school told me to attend Otakon one Sunday with her, and I did! Needless to say my life was changed after that. Seeing all these people in costume really made me want to find out more and try it myself for the next year.
3. I really love your New 52 Supergirl cosplay. What made you choose her?
I’ve always adored Supergirl, and the new 52 design really appealed to me as I’d been wanting to try a leotard + tall boots cosplay again to challenge myself. I also wanted to make sure I made all the seams on the costume like her costume has in the comics, so it was a fun challenge.

4. Have you cosplayed other comic characters?
Yep! I’ve done Black Cat, Rogue, Raven and a casual Wonder Woman.
5. What other genres do you cosplay?
My favorite genre is fantasy. I’m hoping to make several elf costumes next year, and I’ve already made a ton of fairy, faun and a few original inspired fantasy costumes. I’m also a big Disney cosplayer, my favorites being Merida and Tinkerbell.
6. What is your favorite way to show of a new costume?
In a convention surrounded by my friends, having a blast! I love when other people appreciate the hard work I put into a costume.
7. Do you do other modeling besides cosplay?
Just cosplay :)

8. What are your plans for the future?

I’m currently planning and working on a simple Reese from Animal Crossing costume to wear when I’m working my SunsetDragon booth at cons. I want to challenge myself more with bigger props and costumes that light up somehow.

9. Where can my readers see more examples of your work?

My Facebook page is best: www.facebook.com/sunsetdragoncom
My website: sunsetdragon.com/

10. If you had to pick one cosplay, which one is your favorite?

Tough choice! My current favorite to wear is probably still my Merida cosplay. I love running around as her and twirling in her big green dress. I think I’m most proud of my Blood Elf Paladin cosplay and my Ursula Dress.
