Four young offenders and their workers spend a weekend in the remote Yorkshire village of Mortlake, which prides on keeping itself to itself. A minor incident with locals rapidly escalates into a blood-soaked, deliriously warped nightmare.

The British Horror scene has been thriving again for a few years now, a-lot of fresh new talent has been popping up and here’s another new one to add to the list. Alex Chandon brings us a new instalment to the comedy/horror genre, we’re all aware of the American films about the redneck, hill-billy freaks like “Wrong Turn” and “The Hills Have Eyes” but the British releases of this sub-genre seem to be getting more frequent, with films like “The Cottage”, “Severance”, “Eden Lake” and many more.

Since it’s premiere at the Frightfest last year “Inbred” has been an anticipated release and we’re finally getting close, the reviews from the premiere have all been positive and as a person who lives in a town close to where it’s set I’m extremely excited. I feel a-lot of the jokes may go over the heads of people of people unaware of the area but hopefully that won’t be a problem.
