The police force of a remote Midwestern town search for a killer Santa Claus who is picking off citizens on Christmas Eve.

With the Christmas season not so far away I thought it would be best to start talking about the inevitable holiday horror releases. Lets start with one of the most talked about of the year, “Silent Night”. Now this is a remake of the Horror classic “Silent Night, Deadly Night” so my first reaction to the news of it wasn’t exactly great. You have to remember that “Silent Night, Deadly Night” stunned audiences worldwide, was also banned in America, and remains the most notorious Christmas movie in history. The problem is I’m not the biggest fan of remakes, never have been, and “Silent Night, Deadly Night” is a film that is special to me. It was the first killer Santa film I saw and it opened up a whole new world for me.

I put my feelings to one side and waited for more news to be released, the cast seems strong with the likes of Malcolm McDowell, Jaime King, Brendan Fehr, Donal Logue, Lisa Marie, Jessica Cameron, Courtney-Jane White, Aaron Hughes, John B. Lowe and more. You can’t deny that’s strong casting but it’ll take more than that to win me over. From what I’ve seen so far I’m not exactly getting my hopes up but I will give it a viewing as I do love a good Christmas horror and I’m curious. Watch the trailer and form your own opinion on whether you want to view it too.
