Let me start this review by letting you know it will be short and sweet. Why? Because I do not want to spoil the joy you will have reading this issue. When we last saw Hal and Sinestro they were fighting the Black Hand in issue #12 and the Guardians were talking about raising a Third Army. Well, it turns out that the shit is about to hit the fan.
Well, in the first page f the Green Lantern Annual #1, we find out that Hal and Sinestro are buried alive by the hands of none other, the Black Hand. They get out and battle the Black Hand and try to stop him once and for all. Meanwhile, the Guardians are after the one they call the First Lantern because they need his help to raise the Third Army. As usual the Guardians find a way to get what they want when they notice Hal and Sinestro fighting the Black Hand. Well, this doesn’t fit with their plans and they intervene in a way you will not see coming. What is the fate the Black Hand, Sinestro, and Hal? You will have to read it for yourself because I do not want to spoil it.
