Jennifer Hills is still tormented by the brutal sexual assault she endured years ago. She’s changed identities and cities, reluctantly joining a support group where she begins to piece together a new life.
We see the story of ‘Jennifer’ continue with this sequel.
In all honesty I wasn’t really looking forward to this film being released when it was announced, I was wondering what they could do that could keep fans interested. luckily, this is the first installment of the franchise not to tell a similar formula that we’ve got to know.
Fortunately for us we also get to see Sarah Butler return for the role of ‘Jennifer Hills’ although she’s now going under the new name of ‘Angela’, it’s interesting to see how her character has developed since brutality of he the first reboot fim.
If you’re looking for the graphic scenes that the series has become famous for then you’re not going to be let down as the film is full of them although you may feel cheated by them (you’ll see what I mean), although there is two particular scenes that will bring many a tear to many man’s eyes.
The film’s downfall is it’s lack of character writing and lack of structure to the story, the pace is completely off as it feels the flick just rushes through the story to get to the savage parts, because of this it can be quite dull at times for the viewer.
“I Spit On Your Grave 3 – Vengeance Is Mine” is hopefully the end of this rebooted series, it could’ve been better but ultimately it failed.
