Five college women buy the old Hokstedter place for their new sorority house. They got it cheap because of the bloody incidents from five years before.
No surprise here for the sequel, actually it was a surprise it took so long to make.
The first time I watched this movie I was seriously confused, I thought I’d stumbled across a lost Slumber Party Massacre sequel, upon inspection I realised that the film is in fact a Sorority House film and footage from Slumber Party Massacre was used in the film. Confusing!
Once you get past the choppy-happy filmmaking it’s surprisingly a highly enjoyable film, I was actually quite shocked at how much I actually enjoyed it. The film has a more comedic tone than the first release, whether this was on purpose or not it worked.
For a Slasher film it has very little gore, this usually doesn’t bother me but when it comes to Slashers you want it. What there is, is an abundance of cheese. Yes this is a gratified 80’s cheesefest and there’s nothing wrong with that at all, in fact they embrace it.
Sure the acting isn’t exactly Oscar worthy and it seems like it’s been irected by a hormone raged teenager by making the women spend the film in their underwear, but you know what, it’s just so much fun and b-movie Horror fan will love this one.
“Sorority House Massacre II” is a typical 80’s Horror sequel but still has lots to keep you entertained.
