Looking back at 2013, I realized I didn’t do a whole lot of anything (well except for writing for Somewhatnerdy.com, which is awesome). And having something that keeps track of  the very few things I did every day makes me remember how my last year was spent. I have been playing the Injustice: Gods Among Us mobile app game for the better part of a year. In fact, I played it today and it said this was the 216th straight day I have played it. Which is inaccurate, because I was playing it for several weeks before I started to log in to it to receive daily bonuses.

Journal Entry: “Day 216: Still no sign of me ending this game. I fear my dating life is going to continue to suffer. Although that is unrelated to this game.”

During that year I acquired a total of 52 different character cards (many of them maxed out with 5 upgrades), defeated all opponents, and conquered every achievement challenge, not to mention getting every rare character in the game besides Red Son Wonder Woman.

 Injustice Chracters

Picking a team of three is actually way harder than picking out what I’m going to watch next on Netflix, and as we all know, that is extremely difficult.

My point to this rambling is, Injustice is a very cool game to play on a phone or tablet. It’s actually very challenging in the later matches and requires some skill to defeat the seemingly invincible opponents. The graphics are great and with the added bonus challenges, it keeps you coming back. I actually play the Injustice mobile game more than the PS3 game. It’s not even a game you can play casually and relaxed. With some of the special moves you have to rapidly tap the screen to up the damage you inflict, so there is a good chance if someone sees you playing it, they might think you are aggressively texting an ex or possibly drafting the next great American novel on your phone.

 Injustice Gameplay

If you haven’t downloaded and played Injustice yet for your phone, then what the heck is your problem? Get on top of your nerd game and give it a play and watch your whole 2014 disappear in the DC fighting universe.

My name is Critter. Yeah, that’s right Critter. Wanna fight about it? I live in southeast Louisiana and make a living as a graphic artist. I started writing after I took a creative writing class in college and ever since, I thought I was like Ernest Hemingway but with way more spelling errors, fart jokes, and nerdy references. In addition to writing for somewhatnerdy.com, I run and write for another website called www.social-virus.com, where I ramble on about various topics, post drawings and illustrations, and even sell a bunch of shirts I design. You should check it out. It's pretty cool, but of course I'm a little jaded on the subject.
