Greetings Cosplay fans!  I know I usually don’t post cosplay interviews on Friday but I was lucky enough to have a conversation today with a lovely and talented cosplayer.  After I looked at her portfolio, I realized she knew people I have interviewed in the past like Alice Malice and Meg Murrderher.  To me this was a positive sign that I was meant to interview her and share he lovely cosplays with our readers.  So, I won’t bore you with any more of my rambling.  Let’s start the interview shall we?  Nerds and Nerdettes, I bring to you my interview with the lovely and talented Alouette Cosplay.

1. Who are you and where are you from?

I go by Alouette and I am from Florida.

2. How did you discover cosplay?

I grew up in a super nerdy family, so at a young age I was exposed to a lot of comics, sci fi, and such! When I got a bit older I learned about a local convention and while reading more about it, I found out about cosplay! It seemed like a ton of fun, so I decided to try it out! I’ve been hooked ever since.

3. I really love your Catwoman cosplay.  What made you choose her?

Thanks! Like I said, I grew up in a super nerd family, and my dad is a HUGE DC guy. I grew up with Batman movies, cartoons, and comics and fell in love with the whole universe! But the ladies of Gotham were always my favorite (good and bad!) but Catwoman’s attitude and character just stuck with me the most! When I was brave enough to start tackling comic book ladies, she was an obvious “to do”! Being older, there was so much more to love about her and understand, and I would have an excuse to flip around.

4. Have you cosplayed other comic characters?

Yes! I have done Black Canary (3 different versions, including her wedding leotard), Black Cat, Zatanna, The Question II, Poison Ivy, and my personal favorite hero Batwoman! With tons more planned like Donna Troy, Wonder Woman, and Rogue.

5. What other genres do you cosplay?

When I was younger a did a lot of Anime cosplay and still do some like characters from Sailor Moon! But my main interests like in Video Games, TV/Movies (especially Sci-Fi and Horror!), and Comics of course.

6. Do you go to conventions to show off your cosplay or do you do photo shoots only?

I go to conventions not only to cosplay, but also to hang out and meet new friends, shop, and attend panels! I do love doing shoots as well though.

7. Do you do other modeling besides cosplay?

Not really, I’ve done a few shoots here and there, but nothing seriously into modeling. I would love to do more though, even though cosplay/character work will always be my main love!

8. What are your plans for the future?

Cosplay wise I’m hoping to have Cammy, Juliet, Alice, Tali’Zorah, Fem Shep, and Donna Troy done this season.

9. I look forward to seeing your new cosplays!  Where can my readers see more examples of your work?

My facebook is the most up to date! www.facebook.com/alouettecosplaypage

but I also try and keep my deviantart (www.alouettecosplay.deviantart.com)

and ACP up to date as well! (www.acparadise.com/loves/alouettecosplay)

10. If you had to pick one cosplay, which one is your favorite?

As proud as I am on my work on things like Princess Tutu and Alice, my absolute favorites would be a tie between Aria T’loak (from Mass Effect) and Batwoman.
