When Alice and Ethan first meet, it’s love at first sight – for her anyways.
I had the absolute pleasure of taking a sneak peek at Jsaon Hawkins upcoming feature, “The Suicide Pact”.
I’ve been following Jason Hawkins ‘Gravestone Entertainment’ for a while now and they are yet to let me down. So when I was given the chance to take a look at their newest venture I jumped at the chance, then when I got told it was a romantic/comedy/horror I was pretty shocked as this wasn’t the usual route of the company.
My shock turned to delight as I sat and watched the film and realised there was no need to be hesitant about it, it’s quirky, funny and has an absolutely amazing script that you can tell that not only had a-lot of thought gone into it but that it must’ve been a joy to write.
If you look at his past work then you’ll see that this was an unconventional movie for director/writer Jason Hawkins but he does such a great job and it most definitely has his fingerprints all over it, that you can’t help but love it. It definitely has it’s own charm that comes with lower budget films and I mean that in a positive sense.
The cast also do a fantastic job, you can see that it’s a great pleasure and joy to be playing these unconventional and bizarre characters, I can’t remember the last time a film gave off such a good vibe as this one, you almost feel like you’re part of it.
If you’re not a fan of lower budget film then SHAME ON YOU because you are missing out on true gems like this feature, to me it’s films like this that prove you don’t have to have a huge budget to make a great film.
